With all the bad things going on all around us... problems in the government, problems overseas, problems making ends meet, etc, it's sometimes hard to find a reason to smile, isn't it? Not really.

There are reasons to smile all around us, every day, you just have to look for them The fact that you woke up today is, in itself is a great reason to smile, because 150,000 others weren't as lucky. Do you live under a roof? Smile! You're doing better than approx. 500,000 Americans. Do you have food in your home every day? SMILE! 50.1 million Americans can't say the same thing.

I have a home that is mine, I have 3 healthy children, I have a husband that loves me as much as any man ever could, I have food on my table, I was born in America, I have perfectly functioning limbs and a mind that works {most of the time}, I have a wonderful family that taught me what it's like to be a part of something, I have friends that I can call any time of the day or night and I know they'll be there, I haven't always made the best choices in life and there are many times that things probably should've ended differently for me than they did, but they didn't and I've worked hard and fought to become the person I am today and I have a much clearer outlook than I once did and for that I am thankful. I SMILE!

So when you think about how angry the slow cashier at Petco is making you, because "Honey Boo Boo" is about to come on and you don't want to miss it, and you want to get mad, don't, just SMILE! 'Cause in all actuality, it really isn't all that bad out there for most of us.

Unless you're one of the 50.1 million Americans who go without food or are one of the over 10,000 families dealing with childhood cancers, you really don't have it that bad... and that's why I'M Smiling it Forward and now you can too. What makes you smile? Tylenol wants to know.
