Don't you just love this time of year?! The changing colors, the brisk air, the crunch of the leaves under foot, the pumpkin scented EVERYTHING, the yummy feasts and getting to see family. I love everything about the holidays, especially the amazing scents... the smell of food cooking at my Mom's house, the warm vanilla candles burning in the bathrooms, the smell of the cotton candy body spray my Mom still buys me almost every year, even though I'm 38 years old, all these things are so comforting to me. They just make me feel safe and like I'm "at home", no matter where I might be. I am very sentimental when it comes to the smelly goods I like to use.
When we go shopping, my hubby always rushes me out of the air freshener aisle and the perfume aisle and don't even get me started on the shampoo and deodorant aisle. I could spend an hour just smelling all the bottles of products. Just the other day, my Mom and I were shopping at our local Walmart and as soon as I walked in, I saw this hugeSuave display with every scent imaginable, there were shampoos and conditioners, lotions and even deodorants, all in one place, it was like I had died and gone to the afterlife... if the afterlife is full of yummy, affordable scents like Sweet Pea and Violet, Ocean Breeze, Rain Forest Fresh or a gagillion other amazing scents from Suave.
I saw the .96 cent price tag and my mind went nuts. I thought, "at this price, I can afford to get several of each and even enough to add to the goodie baskets I am fixing for a couple of my girlfriends, this year and I might even make one for my oldest son, since they also have guy scents too.
We have a pretty large family and it seems like at least one or two of them always ends up crashing at my house a day or two during the holidays. I really don't mind, I actually enjoy having them... for a day or two. I even buy special soaps and lotions for my guests. I used to buy the expensive stuff from that one store, but with times being tough and the fact that $10 for a bottle of soap or lotion is crazy, I have started buying the Suave products and putting them in the expensive bottles, no one ever even knows. So , before the holidays creep up on you, stop by your local Walmart and snag a few bottles of Suave products, your guests will thank you.
