Ruby et Violette is THE premier online source for amazing bakery goodies. Started by the three Mercer sisters, Jenji, the oldest, who graduated from Stanford, (yes, THAT Stanford) with a double major in English and Biology, then went on to earn a Masters in English from The U of Chicago and just for good measure, she went ahead and snagged a Law degree from Georgetown... she's now the "official Mopper" at Ruby et Violette.
The middle sister, Bekah, Mom of four, followed in Big Sis's footsteps and attended Stanford as well, where she got a degree in Mathematics and Biology, and eventually a Graduate degree in Applied Mathematics, is now the "Official Dishwasher".
Baby Sister, Heather Sue, the free spirit, took a different path after college. After the "Great Jello Fiasco" (don't ask) and the "Epic fail No fail Chocolate cake" incident, she now is the "Official Oven Turner On-er and Bow Tie-er"....
"They were such smart girls, had such bright futures... Now, they just make cookies".... "Yeah, the best damn cookies on EARTH!"
When I heard the knock on the door, I knew what it was... the Thanksgiving sampler box I ordered form Ruby et Violette. I hurriedly opened the outer box to reveal the beautifully gift boxed goodies that awaited me inside. The box is wrapped simply, but elegantly in a white box, with a black ribbon, delicately tied, by Heather Sue, no doubt. These goodies would make an excellent gift for a friend who is recovering from surgery, for that "hard to buy for" foodie on your holiday shopping list or even for a cross country BFF's birthday. Cookies are not limited to a specific occasion. There is NO wrong time for cookies!
The Thanksgiving sampler box (which is on sale right now), is filled with all the familiar tastes of the holiday season... Apple Pie, Carrot Cake, Pumpkin, Red Velvet, Creme' Brulee and MORE! There are two of each cookie (and one brownie) and I highly suggest you pick out your personal faves and HIDE THEM or else you might be very disappointed when you go back to the box and they're gone. (not that I would know or anything).
Each batch of cookies is made with the very best ingredients and is baked to perfection. The Creme Brulee was my fave (and honey roasted pecan and the red velvet and the oatmeal cranberry and...). The cookies are loaded with huge chinks of white chocolate and taste like an heaven, if heaven were filled with yummy, warm, white chocolatey goodness. Ruby et Violette also makebrownies andsmall batch cookie dough ICE CREAM... YES, real cookie dough ice cream!!! You may pay a little more for a Ruby et Violette cookie, but they are oh so worth it, but you don't have to take my word for it. The lovely gals over at Ruby et Violette have generously offered to give one lucky reader a box of their very own goodies, just like the one I received. Entering is easy, just check out the Rafflecopter form below. GOOD LUCK!
