DISCLAIMER: I was provided with a complimentary copy of "Light in the Dark", as well as a gift card, to facilitate this post. Being a full time Mom, Taxi driver, Chef, Psychiatrist, pet sitter, seamstress, housekeeper and monster slayer doesn't leave much free time for things like games (or breathing, for that matter), but when I was provided with the chance to check out "Light in the Dark", the fun, new puzzle game from Dreamgate Studios, I knew I couldn't pass it up and if anyone asks what I'm doing, I simply say, "Research". "Light in the Dark", the new puzzle game that is fun for the whole family, is now available on ios, Android and Windows phone. The goal of the game is to help the sweet little Totem babies find their way back to their parents, by shining a light through dark caverns and fun landscapes. The first few levels seemed rather simple, even my four year old was able to figure it out, but after level 13, I got stuck. Gameplay is super easy, simply slide the light toward the babies, illuminating them, then collect stars to unlock more levels. Sounds easy enough, right? WRONG! Yes, the first few levels are rather easy, once you get the hang of it, but beware, it gets really challenging. If you get stuck, you can always buy a hint, but what fun is that?! After you get the hang of moving the light and saving the babies, they really amp up the challenge, with different colored lights and patterns. You have to blend colors to make the correct color light, illuminate the right baby. It seems simple, but it really is challenging. "Light in the Dark" is a great way to keep your kids entertained, while you are doing housework or waiting at the Doctor's office or you can use it as a reward for finishing their homework. It is fun, yet challenging and suitable for even your little ones, as it contains zero boobs, behinds, "cuss" words or violence. My kind of game, but you don't have to take my word for it. The awesome folks at Dreamgate Studios have graciously offered me 2 iPad or iPod codes so you can try it out for FREE. To win, simply comment below and tell me what you are thankful for, this year. I will pick 2 winners, using Random.org, on Friday. Good Luck!!!
