The new Innotab MAX features a big, 7 inch screen with a 180° rotating camera, housed nicely in the (new to this generation) kid tough, flip and fold case, with a built in handle. It is very sturdy, but also serves as a stand, for gaming and watching movies, but is also removable, for more of a "big kid" feel. 

The tablet comes preloaded with 15 apps including: My Magic Beanstalk, Movie Maker, Art Studio, Wonder Cam Max, E-Reader with Story Dictionary, one free Toca Boca app and two additional free apps that can be downloaded from the Learning Lodge and the new (second generation) Premium VTech® Kid Connect app, which allows you to stay connected to your child, through fun texts, picture messages, drawings and stickers. In addition to the new, larger screen size, the Innotab MAX also features an HDMI connection that allows you to hook the Innotab directly to a compatible TV, allowing you to play videos or games and look at your drawings/pictures. It features 8 gb of onboard storage, expandable up to 40gb, which is plenty of room for a variety of games and videos.

The new Innotab MAX is not just another "pretty face", it really delivers, with 6x the processing power of its predecessor, VTech has really upped their game with the new 7 in, hi res, multi-touch display.

In this newest incarnation, you can access more than 650 educator-endorsed, age and stage appropriate learning titles, as well as carefully cultivated educational Android apps that can be purchased and downloaded through VTech’s Learning Lodge® app store.

For the child who is not quite ready for a "grown up" tablet, but too big for a "baby" tablet, the Innotab MAX is the perfect gift. You can imagine how much they will absorb, when they don't even realize they are learning. I love it when that happens! When you are cooking and they watch you, remembering how you did that. When you are having a bad day, but you handle it with grace, they notice that.  When you hold the door for a "little old lady", they are paying attention. I call it accidental learning. It's usually the stuff they don't feel "forced" to do, that sticks with them the best. If I try to "do school" with Micah, he protests, but if we just sit down, together to do "some fun stuff in our activity books", he is all for it... usually.
