Jennie-O is on a mission to show you how easy it is to"Make the Switch" from beef to turkey. It's so much healthier and if you prepare it right, just as tasty. Check out this yummy Fajita-Jack Jalapeno Turkey Burger recipe I whipped up last night using Jennie-O Jalapeno turkey Burgers and some Classic Wholly Guacamole. I braved the cold and fired up the grill last night for these bad boys, in my opinion, there's just nothing like the taste of a burger fresh off an open flame.
These burgers are super easy... ....all you need is....
It can be hard to tell when turkey is done, so I recommend using a meat thermometer and always check it in the thickest part of the meat. When the burgers reach an internal temp of 160 degrees, they're done and you're ready to assemble them. Start with a nice soft sandwich bun. I prefer the Hawaiian sweet bread buns, but a plain hamburger bun will work just as well. Place the Jalapeno Turkey patty on the bun, top it with a spoon-full of the onions and peppers mixture, sprinkle a little bit of Jack cheese and finish with a huge spoon-full of your favorite Wholly Guacamole... smoosh it down so it'll fit in your mouth and dig in! The flavor is so amazing and complex... you begin to notice the heat from the jalapeno, but it is instantly countered by the creamy smoothness of the guacamole.... OMG!!! It really is a flavor adventure for your mouth! You don't have to take my word for it... One lucky reader will WIN a Jennie-O/Wholly Guacamole Prize Pack including.... - 4 Wholly Guacamole FREE coupons - 2 Jennie-O FREE coupons - Turkey meat thermometer and other fun promotional items Enter below for your chance to WIN!!! Note: I definitely recommend keeping a close eye on the burgers and cook them on an indirect heat as they can burn quick if you're not careful.
