Those of you who keep up with me on Facebook know that my hubby, Mike, was recently diagnosed with type 2 diabetes and after checking my sugar I realized that I too was having issues. I had been previously diagnosed with diabetes during both of my pregnancies and they explained to me then that I was at higher risk of developing it again down the line, if I didn't take really good care of myself and watch my food choices very closely... Well, I didn't and here we are, eating pizza with no crust and drinking a crap ton of water every day to try to reverse the damage I've done to my body. The bad news is, I will not be able to eat a half a box of Little Debbie snack cakes like a teenager with the munchies anymore. I will have to make better food choices in the future and cut out all the yummy sweets that got me here. The good news is that eating good doesn't have to taste bad. You CAN eat foods that are good for your body without sacrificing flavor. This pizza has everything I love... sweet, savory and crunchy. What You Need:
