This is not an ad, just me hooking you up with the 411. (Yes, I realized I just dated myself horribly... Whatever, Yolo!)
I remember it like it was just yesterday, my husband and I were getting ready to go to this beautiful little bed and breakfast in the mountains.... Just kidding. Nobody needs a six page letter as to where I was when I discovered this little slice of heaven, so I will spare you. Here's what you need to know... ALL LOW CARB BREAD DOES NOT SUCK!
I know you've probably tried the "zero carb" bread from that one store, it rhymes with "schmaldi" and you were let down...this is NOT that. I love "schmaldi" for everything else, but their low carb bread was not my jam. There, I said it. So, when I read about the Sola bread in a keto group on Facebook, I didn't have high hopes, but decided to give it a whirl anyway. I went to three different Publix stores and two Krogers before I found it... the Holy grail of low carb bread; Sola sweet and buttery. Ok, guys, this bread is amazing. It is exactly what it says it is... sweet ... and buttery. When I realized how good it was, my mind was aflutter with all the amazing things I could make... it was kinda like the "shrimp" scene from "Forrest Gump", only with low carb bread. It makes an amazing grilled cheese sandwich, and it "acts" like "normal" bread. The texture is not wonky or heavy and {so far} I haven't had one of those weird "hole-y" loaves like you find in other brands of low carb bread. Sola makes several different variations of bread and they make an amazing hamburger bun too. For someone like me, who has a true food addiction, just saying "no" or going "cold turkey" has never worked.. I have to trick my brain. I have to make her think it's "all good" by giving in to those cravings, just in a different way and this bread has been a lifesaver. âIn the Nashville area, this can be found in the freezer section at "most" Kroger and Publix stores. If you find it in your area, comment below, help a fellow keto'r out.
