Easter Basket Ideas for Everyone From World Market + $2000 Gift Card Sweepstakes #HopitForward4/7/2014 DISCLAIMER: I am a World Market Ambassador and as such, I received gift cards to facilitate this post, however all opinions and experiences are my own. If you ask me, one is never too old for an Easter basket. I know most people think of Easter as a kids' holiday, but who says kids should have all the fun?! When you give someone a basket you've personally hand selected, it not only shows them you took the time to think of them, it also makes your heart feel good. With the help of World Market, I will be committing a few"Random Acts of Hoppiness" for some very special people in my life, in the form of hand picked Easter baskets.

Can you believe it's almost Easter already? In less than three weeks, Peter Cottontail will be hopping down the bunny trail and kids everywhere (and maybe one adult in particular) will be in a state of diabetic coma from eating too much candy. I really get into Easter. The candy (especially thePeeps), the egg hunts, the pastel colors, the family traditions, all of it. I really like to decorate for the holidays, but due to our lack of ample storage space, I need to have things that can be used for multiple holidays, like this wreath, for example. I know it's Easter themed now, but I will show you an ingenious way to change it up, according to the holiday/season. As I was getting my morning exercise, by "surfing" the interwebs, I came across this amazing little nugget of awesomeness... "I told you it was hunting season Doreen but nooooo, we had to visit your sister's near the lake!""Thank you Mr Taxidermist, you really managed to capture the pure hatred in my little Timmy's face." But wait, there's more... Check out the rest of these pictures... It's kind of like a movie, you will laugh, you'll cry, there's a plot twist and even a villain... Here ya go, three minutes of your life that will never get back.

One of my favorite things to do, with my family, on the weekends, is to pile all five of us up in the car and head out on an adventure. Usually our "adventures" end up with us finding a new, funky thrift store, riding through the park, looking at the scenery or finding a new place to eat. Regardless of the activity, the best thing about "adventure time" is just getting to hang out with my hubby & kids and catch up on the "goings-on" in their lives. Especially the teenagers, they can be such hard nuts to crack, so any excuse to get them to talk and interact, is golden. According to research, eating together as a family, on a regular basis has some surprising health effects. Of course, sitting down to a family meal together with two teens and a 3 year old can also be a bit nerve wracking (and messy), but it's so totally worth it! In the spirit of family,Ryan's, Old Country Buffet & the entire Country Buffet family of restaurants have teamed up with the publishers of the new "Nancy Drew Diaries" & "The Hardy Boys Adventures" series of books, to bring you this fun giveaway. The books you may remember loving in your childhood can now be read with your own kids with a new look and suspenseful storylines and the books would make wonderful additions to any child’s Easter basket. |
