I love Chinese food, but sometimes it's just not in the budget, so instead of doing without my favorite goodies, I figured out how to make them at home saving myself a ton of money.
Every time we go to our local Asian dive buffet, I stuff myself on the crab rangoons. I loooove these yummy, creamy, fried, pockets of crabby heavenly goodness, but to shell out 5 bucks for a 6 piece order, seems ludacris to me.
Here's how you can make 'em at home for a fraction of the price.
What You Need:
1 block of cream cheese (softened)
1 pkg wonton wraps
1 pkg imitation crab
1 bunch of green onions (chopped)
2 Tbsp sugar
1 Tbsp Garlic powder
Place one wonton wrap in the bottom of a well greased muffin tin, making a cup. Continue with this method 'til all cups have a wonton in them.
Mix cream cheese, green onions, crab, garlic powder and sugar in a bowl.
Spoon a small amount of the mixture onto the center of the wonton.
Bake at 350 for fifteen minutes or 'til golden brown.
