Most of us (girls and guys) know how to care for our skin during the summer... SPF protection, moisturizers and all that good stuff, but many of us don't know how to take care of our skin during the winter months. With the weather getting colder, our skin will face some serious challenges, but with a few tips and a little common sense, you'll be just fine.
Tips for Beautiful Winter Skin:
One of the biggest concerns we deal with, during winter, is dry skin. Skin can dry out extremely fast during colder months, due to the lack of humidity, coupled with the cold wintry air, it's the perfect storm for developing skin issues, but with a good skin care routine, you can have healthy, beautiful skin all winter long.
- One of the easiest things you can do to improve the appearance of your tired, winter skin is to simply give it a good wash. By gently sloughing off the dead skin cells, you can reveal the soft supple skin below.
- After a good wash, you need to moisturize, to lock in the moisture that can be lost during the cold months. I prefer one that is not too greasy and absorbs quickly.
- Another good tip for winter skin is to drink plenty of water.
- Use sunscreen. Even in winter, the sun is still up there and it can definitely still burn you, especially if you're out in the snow.
