As I was getting my morning exercise, by "surfing" the interwebs, I came across this amazing little nugget of awesomeness... "I told you it was hunting season Doreen but nooooo, we had to visit your sister's near the lake!""Thank you Mr Taxidermist, you really managed to capture the pure hatred in my little Timmy's face." But wait, there's more... Check out the rest of these pictures... It's kind of like a movie, you will laugh, you'll cry, there's a plot twist and even a villain... Here ya go, three minutes of your life that will never get back.
Since I am not capable of doing "wordless", I decided to rename today, "less words Wednesday"... Here's what we did this past weekend.... Saturday started off kind of bumpy. I wasn't feeling well and was kind of having a bad day in general, but I promised Micah we would go to Ghouls at Grassmere, so I knew I had to pull it together and I am so glad I did. We had such a great time, as is evident in the picture of Micah with his hero, Batman, who affectionately gave him bunny ears. I swear, seeing how happy this made him, brought tears to my eyes. I am so grateful to be able to let him experience all these fun opportunities this blog has afforded me. Ghouls at Grassmere is the Nashville Zoo's yearly fundraiser and we were lucky enough to score a family pass to check it out. (for free, thanks to the nice folks at the Nashville Zoo) Ghouls at Grassmere is a family friendly spooktacular designed (mostly) for kids 12 and under, but I am proof that even older kids (16 and 38), can enjoy this event.
So I was spending the day with my Mom yesterday. We went shopping, we gossiped about celebrities {she who shall remain nameless #twerk}, we had lunch, we reminisced about family members we've lost and I got all nostalgic and started looking through some of her old pictures and as I was looking at these old pictures, I had an epiphany.... I had some really messed up hair back in the day... and those clothes?! What in the hell were we thinking back then?!
"Hey, I think I'll defy gravity with my hair today'... who does that?! ME! That's who. I hope these pictures bring you as much joy as they brought me yesterday and yes, I know you are laughing with me, not at me. Enjoy! Sometimes, on the weekends, when we're kind of broke and can't really think of anything to do that all the kids agree on, we'll pack everyone into the car and take a ride downtown.... downtown Nashville, that is. Home of country music... and crazy people. These are a few of the better shots I was able to get while pointing and laughing at all the weirdos... Don't get me wrong, I LOVE Nashville, but downtown on a Saturday night is not for the weak.
